Hey my awesome family that I love!
So. Transfers:
I am staying in West Hills, but my companion and I will also be picking up the YSA ward over here, which actually covers almost this entire valley. It's a freaking huge area. ; ) I'm not a huge fan of YSA, but I think it should actually be pretty good. This YSA ward has had a lot of baptisms lately, so the ward is full of all these cool recent converts that love sharing the gospel. One of them was even found through the Book of Mormon experiment.
My new companion is going to be Sister Jarvis. We will both be STLs, but Sister Jarvis hasn't been an STL before, so I'll get to help her learn the ropes. The only thing I know about her is that she is apparently also an ASL missionary, which will be good for our ward since there are a few deaf members. I'll hopefully be able to tell you more about her next week.
I also may be the designated driver, which will be interesting. At least I'm not driving in downtown LA, but to get to the other parts of the valley, there are a lot of freeways and crazy interchanges involved. I've done it a couple of times with exchanges, but just pray for me. ; )
I love you guys! Thank you for all of your support. I really appreciate it. I know that I am strengthened because of your prayers. You guys are the best!

Hey everybody! With it being Fathers Day on Sunday, I just wanted to tell you all how grateful I am for my dad. He's really so amazing. He is such an amazing example to me, and I have learned so much from him. It is such a blessing to have such an amazing father in my life. I know that I am so blessed. Cool Scripture: One I liked from this week was 3 Nephi 18:10-12. It's about the sacrament and how important it is. I like how it mentions that if we always remember Him, we will have His Spirit to be with us. It just was cool to look at it that way. Hey guys! Favorite quote/scripture: DC 64: 33-34. I don't have time to type it out, so go look it up. I like how it talks about this work. I want to give my whole soul to the Lord as I go about doing His work. This is important. I want to make sure that I give my all. Favorite funny moment: So this wasn't like a laugh out loud moment or anything, but more of just a cool thing. We had a two week training follow up for all of the trainees and their trainers last Tuesday. One of the missionaries that came in with Sister O'Bourke is from Thailand. I'm not even going to guess at how to spell her name. She's still learning English, but she's been doing really good. Now that it wasn't her first day, I introduced myself again. Normally when I tell people my name, if they say it back to me to make sure that it's right, I say something like "yep, like the cat." Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well! Thank you for your prayers and your support; I am so grateful for all of you! Here's this week's favorites: Favorite Quote: Jacob 4: 11-12. This one is too long for me to take the time to type out, so you all have to go look it up. I came across this scripture during personal study the other day and seriously had this "have I ever read this before in my life" moment because it was so good. The line that I do really love that I will type out is "for why not speak of the atonement of Christ." The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the greatest gift anyone could ever give, and our Heavenly Father gave it to us because He love us more than we can even begin to comprehend.
