Favorite Scripture: Alma 7: 14-15 This is not the Alma 7 scripture I normally quote, so go look it up anyway family. ; ) Lately I've been studying baptism because I think that a lot of people don't realize how important it really is. I think that for a lot of us who are born in the church, when we're baptized at 8, all we think about baptism is "oh, my primary class is getting baptized and I'll get to see my cousins and we'll have cake," but it's so much more important than that. Baptism is literally the act that opens the gate to the celestial kingdom. It may not be the only saving ordinance, but you can't receive any of the other ones until you are baptized. It's the first step. I liked this scripture because it talks a lot about desire and willingness to serve God, and the covenants we make at baptism.
