Sister Jessica Garfield California San Fernando Mission

We have had many asking about Jessica and the fires in her area.  This is a direct quote from the mission president's wife today at about 11 am.... Good Morning! It’s a beautiful day in the Great California San Fernando Mission. Fires are still burning but they are not affecting the missionaries or their work. All is well. Have a happy day! Hi All! Other than a couple of big events that happened this week, it was actually kind of a boring one. ; ) But the big stuff was interesting, so here we go: Sister Reynolds' leg has been hurting her since before I even got here. She thought it was just sore from bike life, but the other day, she noticed a GIANT bruise on the back of her leg where it hurts. It started hurting even more a few days after that, so we called up the mission nurse, who came over on Tuesday morning and thought it was probably fine until Sister Reynolds said it had been hurting for over a month. She took us straight to the Urgent Care. We were there for over three hours, and the only thing the doctor could say for sure was that she needs an MRI, so we'll be going in for that tomorrow. It seems to have been getting better the past few days, so hopefully it's not serious. Right now, all we know is that it could be anything from a pulled hamstring to cancer.
