The Miracles of the Temple

Hey everybody! 
Thank you all for your prayers for the people we're teaching! We've seen so many miracles this week because of it. 
Favorite Spiritual Things:
We had so many cool experiences with our recent converts this week. First off, we got to go to the temple visitors center with the Alfarros again because they wanted to take Jason. It helped him so much! He sent us a really cool text afterwards telling us how much he really means it now. It's really cool to see how much the temple has helped him be more committed. 
The next day, we got to do temple baptisms with the older Alfarros and Emilio! That was so cool too. Emilio got to baptize Sister Trujillo, and Brian baptized me. Karla was so sweet afterwards, talking about how she wants to come all the time. I hope they will. They are so excited to get sealed in a year!
Emilio spoke in sacrament meeting (again), and President and Sister Haynie happened to be there.  His talk was so good; it was on the Spirit, and he talked a lot about how he came to know that the Book of Mormon is true. They were absolutely blown away, but even more so when they found out he'd only been a member for a month! 
Lastly, Emilio also got his patriarchal blessing yesterday! He asked us to be there, which was really flattering. We couldn't go inside when he was getting his blessing, but it was cool that he would ask us to be there as support. This kid is going places, man. When we were at the temple, he went out and bought a Book of Mormon in Norwegian because he thinks he's going to Norway on his mission. ; ) 
Favorite funny thing:
I was on exchanges this week with Hermana Lemmon, and she was enjoying reading the signs as we drove through our area. There just happens to be a strip club on a street we drive down a lot, so she was avoiding those signs, but as we drove past, all the sudden she shouts, "Is that a day care next to the strip club?!" And it totally was. ; ) California is weird, man.
Other stuff:
Just so everybody knows, my emailing time has been cut by half an hour. But we also are now allowed to read emails at night after 9:30. So of you want me to respond to an email from you, it's a lot easier for me to do so if I can read it ahead of time so I can be faster.

Hey everybody! With it being Fathers Day on Sunday, I just wanted to tell you all how grateful I am for my dad. He's really so amazing. He is such an amazing example to me, and I have learned so much from him. It is such a blessing to have such an amazing father in my life. I know that I am so blessed. Cool Scripture: One I liked from this week was 3 Nephi 18:10-12. It's about the sacrament and how important it is. I like how it mentions that if we always remember Him, we will have His Spirit to be with us. It just was cool to look at it that way. I don't know if I had ever realized that that was the reason behind it before. Spiritual stuff: We had a super awesome lesson with the Alfarros this week. Hey guys! Favorite quote/scripture: DC 64: 33-34. I don't have time to type it out, so go look it up. I like how it talks about this work. I want to give my whole soul to the Lord as I go about doing His work. This is important. I want to make sure that I give my all. Favorite funny moment: So this wasn't like a laugh out loud moment or anything, but more of just a cool thing. We had a two week training follow up for all of the trainees and their trainers last Tuesday. One of the missionaries that came in with Sister O'Bourke is from Thailand. I'm not even going to guess at how to spell her name. She's still learning English, but she's been doing really good. Now that it wasn't her first day, I introduced myself again. Normally when I tell people my name, if they say it back to me to make sure that it's right, I say something like "yep, like the cat." She sounded it out to make sure she was saying it right, and I told her she got ...

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well! Thank you for your prayers and your support; I am so grateful for all of you! Here's this week's favorites: Favorite Quote: Jacob 4: 11-12. This one is too long for me to take the time to type out, so you all have to go look it up. I came across this scripture during personal study the other day and seriously had this "have I ever read this before in my life" moment because it was so good. The line that I do really love that I will type out is "for why not speak of the atonement of Christ." The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the greatest gift anyone could ever give, and our Heavenly Father gave it to us because He love us more than we can even begin to comprehend. He sent His son, because He wants us to be able to return home to Him. We have this amazing, wonderful blessing of a gift in our lives, and we are blessed to know about it.
