Goodbye, San Fernando... Hello CLAM

Hey everybody!
Favorite Spiritual Moment:
Emilio got baptized this week! It was so awesome. I don't know if I've shared how he found the gospel with you guys, so I'm going to do it now. Emilio was on instagram one day and found this girl who is a singer and songwriter who lives in South Jordan. He started following her and getting to know her, and then found out that her boyfriend, Seth, was about to go into the Marines. He happens to have a brother in the Marines, so he got Seth's information and started talking to him so that he could hopefully help him out while at basic training. Well, Seth shared the gospel with him! Emilio received pretty much the entire first lesson over a video chat with a kid in a different state, who hadn't even graduated high school yet. He got transitioned over to the missionaries, and ended up getting baptized. He is seriously one of the most amazing people I have ever met, and probably is the most prepared person I have ever taught. He absorbs the gospel like a sponge. It was really cool to teach him, because he was just so excited to get the gift of the Holy Ghost, and to get to go through the temple someday. His baptism was soooo cool, because the Spirit was just so strong the entire time. Seth and his family came from Utah, and Seth got to baptize him. It was so cute - when Emilio came up out of the water, he just hugged Seth so hard. He was just so happy. : ) So was Seth, and so were the rest of us. Emilio bore his testimony at the end, and it was just super powerful. The Spirit was so strong that it seriously made the air thicker. I think it is so amazing to get to watch as the gospel changes people's lives. We all are children of God, and He wants each of us to come home. And now Emilio is one step closer. I am so grateful for this blessing I have, to get to be a missionary. It's really incredible.
Favorite funny thing:
This was more just sweet than funny, but I straightened my hair the other day for the first time in a little while. We had a lesson with the Alfarros the next day, and the littlest Alfarro girl just looks at me with this horrified expression on her face and just exclaims "What happened to your hair?!" It was super funny, but just kind of adorable too. Apparently my hair is going curly enough that I'm turning into my mom; I'm starting to be recognizable for it, and when it's not there, everyone is just super surprised.
Other stuff:
Just in case I didn't tell everybody, haha, the Great California San Fernando Mission is splitting at the end of this month. The north half of my mission is going to become part of the Bakersfield mission, and the south half is going to Los Angeles. Well, we got transfer calls on Saturday, and I'm staying in West Hills, so it looks like I'm going to be an LA missionary. How weird is that? ; ) Apparently the California Los Angeles Mission goes by the "CLAM" for short. So yeah. ; )
Love you guys!
