Super quick today

This week's letter was a really quick one:

Hey all!
Quick updates:
Transfers were really great! My new area is really awesome and we have some incredible investigators. Brace yourself for some baptisms in the coming month or so!
Favorite scripture:
I read this just this morning! I don't remember the exact verses, but it's in Mosiah 17 I think, in the section before Ammon starts cutting people's arms off. The sons of Mosiah are about to head out on their missions, and I just really love their resolve. They definitely knew their purpose. In this ward, we are trying to help the members to be more on board with what it is we are doing (sharing the gospel and helping us to do it). I really love the sons of Mosiah's approach to being missionaries. They are really incredible examples to me.
Sorry, I don't have time for much else. Just know that I love you all and I'm doing good!
Love,
Sister Garfield

Since this week's letter was really short I thought I'd add some of what she sent to the family:

Hey family. : )

West Hills has been really awesome so far. The are is a lot like Newhall except a little busier: we have a lot of super nice areas and a lot of super ghetto ones. ; ) We of course, prefer to work in the super ghetto ones, because that's been where we've been able to find people to teach. There is actually a lot more Spanish here than I expected. It's not as much as other parts of the valley, but again, it's a lot like Newhall, except that I think the Spanish areas are a little more condensed and defined. But I think I've spoken more Spanish here in my first week than I did in Newhall, so that's pretty cool! We do knock the nice areas sometimes though, although we run into a lot more Jewish people here than we did in Newhall when we do that.

Our investigators here are super cool though. One is named Emilio, who is seventeen and is pretty much ready to go on a mission. He met this member kid through social media who taught him the gospel, and apparently his dad is a member and he didn't even know. He's an amazing kid, with really incredible questions. His new favorite movie is the cheesy restoration one. I'm serious. He's watched it like 20 times. ; ) And then we have Ken, who is about 65 and has some serious word of wisdom issues, but his brother is a member who wants to have an eternal family, so he's taking the lessons and seems to be pretty serious about it. Then we have the Alfaro family, which has freaking 11 people in it. The dad is a member, and so far only four of the kids are taking the lessons, but they are super amazing too.

Also, she didn't send any pictures this week, however this amazing family, the DelHoyo's, that has been so sweet to Jessica, sent us some amazing pictures that they took just before transfers.  I thought I'd share a few because they are so darling!
