... and a BRAND NEW CAR!!

Hey all!
I've seriously got like 5 minutes, so bear with me and any spelling errors I make.
Favorite Scripture:
2Nephi 33: 10-11 I think. (Hopefully I didn't do this one last time, haha)
I'm not gonna type it out, but i love this scripture because it talks about the Book of Mormon being the words of Christ. We've been sharing this one a lot lately. I know that the Book of MOrmon testifies of Jesus Christ on every page. That's why the Book of mormon experiment works. That's how people can come to know that this is true. The Book of Mormon makes a world of difference.
I invite each of you to read the Book of Mormon, looking specifically for how it can help you to come closer to Jesus Christ. I know that it will bless your life. It has certainly blessed mine. And then I invite you to share that with someone else. : ) Will you do it? (there better be a bunch of head nods and "yes"es right there. ; )
Favorite Spiritual Moment:
We had a super cool lesson with Carole this week! We got to share the restoration with her, and it was so cool to see how she already knew that it was true. She self committed to read the book of Mormon, to pray, and to come to church, before we could even extend the invitation!
Other Stuff:
Our lovely periwinkle chevy cruze is officially gone. We got a brand new car this week. It is a 2018 Toyota Corolla. And I had to drive it. ; ) It had a grand total of 132 on it when I drove it out of the mission office's parking lot. I've never even been in a car this new. ; )
Love you guys!
Love,
Sister Garfield

also some other information that she sent to the family:

We have transfers tomorrow! Drumroll please....

I will be serving in the West Hills area, which is in the San Fernando Valley.
My companion will be Sister Trujillo.
We will be serving as STLs.
And here's the weird part. As STLs, we will actually be over two zones, not just one.
Wahoo! This is going to be exciting. It will be super cool to get to serve in the valley before the mission gets split up, even though I love it here too. Sister Trujillo is the one whose mom Mom met back in my first transfer at Ulta, so there's what little context I can give. She's pretty great. I don't know a ton about her, but in my interactions with her in the past, she's been cool. And I know that she works really hard, which will be awesome.
It will be super weird though to be over two zones. Since the mission is splitting soon, we are to the point where we are losing missionaries at the end of every transfer, but we aren't getting any to replace them. Between everybody going home and a couple of other weird circumstances, we are losing at least 14 missionaries this week. The number of Sisters in the mission, especially, is dwindling. So Sister Trujillo and I will get to work with two zones! It sounds like it isn't going to be any more sisters than usual (That's how many we lost this transfer. Crazy), but we'll get to work with two sets of zone leaders and four or five district leaders. It's gonna be crazy! There are a lot of things we'll have to figure out, but it should be good. I'm super excited.

(please read in a TV show announcer voice) our BRAND NEW CAR

It was Elder Hawkins' birthday last Thursday. Sister Pinter and I decided to make him lasagna because it's like the one unhealthy thing he'll eat. It turned out pretty good for our first time! I don't know why he's pulling a freaking Flynn Rider smolder in the picture though. ; )

we had a barbecue on Monday for zone activity. Or as our Mexican missionaries called it, a "Carne asada"

a couple of our Elders

those jerks left Sister Pinter to figure it out for herself! It turned out good though. : )
