Apparently I'm super Attractive or something ;-)

Hey guys!

Quick testimony:
I just want to reassure everyone that God truly answers prayers. I'm going to be honest; the first half of this week was really rough. I didn't know what the problem was, but I was just really stressed and overwhelmed and unhappy, so for a few days I was just really pouring out my soul to the Lord to ask Him for help. I didn't even know what it was I needed, but I knew that He did, so I asked Him to help me in whatever way would be best. Just a few days later, I got my answer. It was in the form of a scripture, one that would never have stood out to me in any other circumstance. But it was exactly what I needed. I'm not going to share it because I don't want to go into what exactly it was I was struggling with, and it wouldn't make any sense otherwise. But I know that God answers prayers. I know that the scriptures were written for our day. I know that God knew ahead of time that I would be struggling with this right now, so He made sure that I would be in the exact chapter I was in on the day I needed help the most. Trust Him. He is always there for you.

Favorite spiritual moment:
We got to go to the temple visitors center with Monse and her family! It was super awesome. It took a few dozen miracles to find rides to get everyone there, but we did it. It was so cool to get to hear the kids' testimonies when the missionaries there asked them questions about why they want to be baptized.

Favorite funny moment:
Two this week, and they're related.
There's a recent convert in the Newhall ward whose name is Chris. Chris is a really nice guy who is about 50, who grew up around the church but wasn't a member until about a year ago. He really wants to find himself a wife. So, randomly in a lesson with him this week, he just says something like, "Garfield is the kind of girl I'd like to end up with. If she was like 30 years older." I thought he was kidding until the district leaders ran into him later this week and he told them the same thing! Um, awkward! I still think he's mostly being sarcastic, but it was weird to hear it twice.
The second one was at the end of Knock Out a few days ago. We were walking to the next house when a guy in a parked car just calls out, saying, "Oh, Jehovahs!" We get a lot of people thinking that we're Jehovahs Witnesses, especially with us being sisters in a trio, so we just laughed and told him that we're Mormons. He didn't care though, because the next thing he said was "Y'all are the cutest Jehovahs I've ever seen." It was so weird. We just about died. His mom was in the car and scolded him so bad. ; )

Other stuff:
Monse's kids were all sick on Sunday and couldn't come to church, so we moved their baptismal date to February 24th since they have to come to church three times first. But it's for sure still happening. We just won't be quite so pressed for time now. ; )

Because of Presidents Day, my next P-day will be Tuesday February 20th instead of Monday February 19th. Just so y'all know.
I love you guys!
Love,
Sister Garfield

Us with (most of ; ) Monse and her family on the temple grounds

Our Zone went on a hike for Zone activity last week!

Sooo... My companions hate hiking. ; )

Like, really really hate it. ; )

The rest of the zone loved it though!

Our zone leaders

Sister Moses, a missionary from temple square who's with us for two transfers.

We got up there

Not much of a view, but that's okay.

Us. Haha

We decided we burned a few too many calories on that hike. ; )

Monse and her family!! Her son Sergio was sick and didn't want to be in the picture, but this is the family we found. They're on date for February 24th!
