Urgent Care... But don't freak out.

Hi All!

Other than a couple of big events that happened this week, it was actually kind of a boring one. ; ) But the big stuff was interesting, so here we go:

Sister Reynolds' leg has been hurting her since before I even got here. She thought it was just sore from bike life, but the other day, she noticed a GIANT bruise on the back of her leg where it hurts. It started hurting even more a few days after that, so we called up the mission nurse, who came over on Tuesday morning and thought it was probably fine until Sister Reynolds said it had been hurting for over a month. She took us straight to the Urgent Care. We were there for over three hours, and the only thing the doctor could say for sure was that she needs an MRI, so we'll be going in for that tomorrow. It seems to have been getting better the past few days, so hopefully it's not serious. Right now, all we know is that it could be anything from a pulled hamstring to cancer. I'm leaning more toward the pulled hamstring, and Sister Reynolds is leaning more toward cancer, but we are both hoping I'm right. It's kind of scary though! I really hope she's okay.

Bike life is interesting for sure. I swear my bike hates me. My skirt got caught in it this week and about killed me (not really), and my seat likes to slip. That's okay though. I've been learning a lot about the different things I need to do to fix it, and it hasn't caused any major problems.

Our mission gets to participate in a really cool thing. The Church is trying out something called the Book of Mormon Experiment, and they're testing it in only a couple of missions worldwide. We are super lucky that we get to participate in it. We set up displays about the Book of Mormon and ask people to read through a page of the Book of Mormon and highlight places that make them think about God. It starts tomorrow. I'm still not sure about all of the details, but I'll tell you more next week. What we do know is that we've been asked to show up in our street clothes, with No Nametags. We're even supposed to go by our first names. Super weird, but kind of cool. President says we're "in disguise." To be honest, Sister Reynolds and I are super psyched to get to wear jeans a couple of times this week. It should be a really cool thing! We're hoping this will help us to find people to teach who are really, truly interested in learning more.
I'm out of time. I love you all so much! Be super happy. : )
Love,
Jessica

Us on main street, one of the only places that looks the most Christmas-y around here.

Us at a dinner appointment

Our district leader getting super excited about the weird birthday gift we got him. We found it in a cupboard in our apartment. ; )

Our district leader and our STLs, with our district leader holding his "birthday salsa" they got him. It was half-used. ; )

Us at the Laundromat around the corner from us.

Walking through the door of our apartment.

Some weird girl sitting on our couch. ; )
